The ASU was successful in having BSL agree to implement a trial of monthly ADOs for full-time staff. The trial is coming to an end, and the working group is due to meet at the end of May.
Your ASU representatives have also been instrumental in setting up a working group to tackle the issue of excessive workloads created by unachievable KPIs. This working group is also due to meet next week.
We have set up a meeting to gather your feedback before the working group meetings, so we can accurately reflect your thoughts, good or bad, on these issues. We need to know if you want the RDOs to continue permanently, if so, what benefits have you received by having them.
Time permitting there will also be an opportunity for members to ask questions regarding Job Keeper as we know there is still some confusion out there.
Disappointingly despite all previous member meetings being approved in paid time to enable you to provide valuable feedback, BSL HR has not allowed paid time for this meeting, despite the importance of these two issues. Your representatives are extremely frustrated that BSL has decided they do not want your feedback from your union unless you provide it in your own time.
The meeting has, therefore, been called during your lunch break. Please make every effort to attend.
You do not need to advise your supervisor nor seek permission if attending a meeting in your lunch break.
DATE: Thursday 21 May
TIME: 12.00 pm

Securing the RDO agreement did not come easy; ASU members fought hard and won. By increasing our numbers and strength, we can and will continue to fight to improve your working lives. Please pass this on to a non-member and ask them to attend the meeting with you and to join ASU today. If you would like to join the union, please visit: https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
