Members from all parts of Brimbank stood together at 10am to say enough is enough. Welcome to the workers who joined at the meeting.

Delegates reported on the negotiations.

June has negotiated six agreements in a row. She reported on how tough it is this time.

Dhiraj reported on how much we have tried to fix this with the assistance of Fair Work Australia (the Commission).

Jeff reported on how the fight to even get a pay offer has been gruelling.

Tash Wark, Deputy Branch Secretary (Acting) met with the delegates to plan our next steps. She said we’re proud of ASU members at Brimbank who work tirelessly to provide essential services to support local communities. Brimbank’s withdrawal of backpay is appalling and is an insult to the quality and value of the work performed across council.

Members stood together despite covid, school holidays and hassles about which vehicles were allowed to travel to the Civic Centre.

We are writing to management to push for a resolution sooner rather than later.
