The ASU has been notified that Council is undertaking an Organisation review and are in stage 2 of the process. Council has advised affected employees that they have until Wednesday 7 October 2020 to provide any feedback to the proposed changes.
However, Council has failed to provide the ASU and affected members all relevant information as they are required to do under Clause 4 Consultation regarding major workplace change outlined in your enterprise agreement.
The ASU has written to Council to request all relevant information, including; the current structure, the proposed structure, including names and FTE, classifications and PD’s of any changed roles and workflows.
We have also informed Council that the matter is now in formal dispute under Clause 6 Dispute Resolution and reminded council of their obligations that the status quo is to remain until the dispute is resolved.
Once all the relevant information has been provided, we will set up a meeting with members so we can seek your feedback or concerns and present them to council.
We will keep members fully updated and informed so please keep an eye out for further updates
By encouraging your workmates to join the ASU we will have a stronger voice for workers at Boroondara City Council. It is easy for anyone who is not yet a member to join online at www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
