Boroondara City Council has made a proposal to withdraw from Active Ageing. The ASU met with members on March 3 to seek your feedback.

The ASU submitted your feedback to Council on March 7. You can view the letter here.

We have received a response from Council who have rejected our request to extend consultation until the end of April and have only agreed to extend the consultation period until Friday 18 March 2022. You can view the letter here.

We have written to Council to request that they approve another paid member meeting on Tuesday 22 March at 4pm and we will then provide feedback by COB Wednesday 23 March.

We will keep you updated with their response, but please email the ASU as soon as possible if you do have any feedback.

Please keep a lookout in your email inbox or mobile phone for future updates and don’t forget to sign the petition and encourage others to do so.

Sign the petition now and let’s show the Boroondara City Council that we don’t want aged care to be privatised in our community.

By encouraging your workmates to join the ASU we will have a stronger voice for workers at Boroondara City Council. It is easy for anyone who is not yet a member to join online at www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
