Bethany – ASU EA UpdateYour ASU bargaining representatives met with Bethany management on Wednesday 25 September to outline members’ final position in relation to the Bethany proposal for a new enterprise agreement.

Members were very clear at the recent membership meetings that the offer presented fell well short of expectations.

It was agreed at the meeting with management that they would come back to your ASU representatives with a revised offer, taking into consideration members’ feedback, and also provide a draft agreement.

It is expected that this process will take approximately 4 weeks. Soon after the revised offer further membership meetings will be convened to vote on whether to accept the offer or not.

Attendance at the recent member meetings was excellent with a number of new members joining the ASU to ensure that there is strength in numbers throughout this process. In addition, a new ASU Delegate was nominated and successfully elected at the West Geelong site. Congratulations to Sabina Mischker.
