It has come to the ASU’s attention that there are some members not receiving the maintenance allowance, despite having a potential entitlement.
Are you employed as the driver operator of any of the following plant equipment:
- front end loader
- backhoe
- skid steer loader
- front deck mower
- self-propelled gang mower,
- landfill compactor
- crane truck
- elevating platform vehicle
- chipper
- garbage compactor
- trucks over 12GVM
- mechanical-street sweeper and road-cleansing machine
- excavator
- road roller,
- power grader
- tractor
If council requires you to take charge of any of the above listed plant and perform routine maintenance and running repairs, you may be entitled to the additional payment of $37.26 per week in the form of the Maintenance Allowance (clause 8.3.7.1 (b) of your enterprise agreement).
You deserve fair compensation for your work and the ASU are here to support you in ensuring that you receive what you deserve.
Please contact ASU organiser Joanne McEvoy via email jmcevoy@asuvictas.com.au if you have any questions or believe you may be entitled to this allowance but not receiving it.
Your membership is crucial to our collective strength, and together, we can make sure your workplace rights are protected and enforced.
