We’re getting in touch to update on you on discussions with your employer at the staff consultative committee, and invite you along to a digital ASU member meeting on Wednesday the 8th of July.
DATE: Wednesday 8 July
TIME: 12.00 pm
Zoom Link: https://zoom.us/j/92118490252
Zoom ID: 921 1849 0252
While many of you are working from home and ASU Organisers are limited in their ability to go on site, virtual meetings allow a quick and easy way for members to check in on what’s been going on. It will also give you an opportunity to raise concerns with your delegates, and ask any burning questions you might have about the current situation. New members are very welcome, so make sure you forward this email to any colleagues who you think would benefit from attending.
Staff Consultative Committee update
Your staff reps are currently consulting on the Near Miss Investigations policy, Flexible Work Arrangements, Overtime policy and Remote Working policy, as well as working with your Health and Safety Reps on office reactivation. Bendigo has also been approved for funding to hire staff through Working for Victoria, and your reps are keeping an eye on the on boarding process. If you have any concerns around these policies (or anything else) don’t hesitate to raise them with your local ASU delegate, or your Organisers Austin Fabry and Danny Harris.
Unionised workplaces are safer and fairer, if you have a colleague who hasn’t joined yet, forward them this email and get them to join here: https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
