The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has announced a Community Forum to be held in Bendigo.
This forum is open to the public. It is an excellent opportunity local community to hear about the work of the Commission and to offer their ideas on the challenges, strengths and opportunities to improve aged care. ASU members working in Local Government and the Social and Community Services Sector are well placed to make contributions at this forum and we encourage you to take tis opportunity to attend.
It is an important opportunity for us to ensure the Royal Commission hears that we urgently need the Commonwealth to announce an extension of funding for the Commonwealth Home Support Program beyond June, 2020.
