We are holding a paid meeting to inform you of the EA and where we are at in the bargaining process.
We have a range of responses from council and proposals that require members consideration and feedback.
The most important change we’ll be discussing is a shift in council’s position on timing of pay increase.
To date council’s position was to withhold your pay increase until either a yes vote or agreement on principle was reached.
The ASU sought that council reconsider their position, and council have now revised this.
Council’s revised position is that if agreement in principle is reached by 14 December, full backpay will be included to ensure your next pay rise is delivered without a gap. This is movement.
But we need to make sure members understand other offers on the table, seek your feedback on these offers – including the proposed pay increase of 1.75% per annum for the life of the proposed agreement.
