Your ASU bargaining team has been meeting regularly, all parties have presented their log of claims and work is underway to go through them all. You can view a copy of your ASU claims here.
Some of the key areas discussed so far have been:
- flexibility/home-based work arrangements,
- on-call and availability allowances.
We have achieved some claims around inclusion of references to the Gender Equality Act, an increase to the amount paid for after-hours dependent care and the option of payout of outplacement services costs if an employee is over 60.
A number of claims that still need further work or that we have not yet reached agreement on, we will keep members updated on these.
We will be holding member meetings early in the new year, starting off with meetings for Aged Care and Library members to get feedback on proposed changes affecting their areas.
