Unbelievably, City of Casey has stood-down more School Crossing Supervisors than there are people in this photo.
250 of the lowest-paid workers at Council, stood-down without pay
And the worst part? The Victorian Government gives Casey money for these worker's wages, and that money hasn't been cut.
So Casey is profiting at the expense of 250 of its lowest-paid employees ... See MoreSee Less
Point is it’s not an ‘industry’ it’s a council service in which the wages have already been budgeted for. Jobseeker or council wages it’s all taxpayers money in the end ! What will the City of Casey spend those staffs budgeted wages on now ? We as taxpayers and ratepayers have a right to know !
Sack the council , the crossing supervisors are there to keep our children safe . The council is on the wrong path.
Surprising, I thought they only just finished spending money on a new set of Offices? I would have thought the right thing to do would be to honour their commitments.
Shameful! Are other councils doing this
Do the right thing by your workers Council!
Shameful City of Casey ..
If they are getting funding then they should keep them employed
I always thought they are volunteers?! Aren't they?
This SUCKS big time.
You mean because there is no work and schools are shut atm? Im confused why they would still be working atm? People are being stood down in every industry. Casey is in a hotspot! Or is this seperare to covid??
