The ASU is continuing to progress your claims in negotiations for EA11. Today, however, the ASU has formally notified council of the union’s good faith bargaining concerns. See our letter to council here.
We heard what members had to say in recent meetings and have relayed that frustration to council. Along with other concerns we’ve had about the bargaining process.
Council needs to be transparent about its decision to withdraw agreement on ASU claims for redundancy improvements and provide better info so the ASU bargaining group can make informed decisions about the offers being made to you.
In the meantime, Stonnington is very clear that their rates are the lowest around for properties valued at $750K. And council chose to provide rate waivers across the whole council – not just those experiencing hardship – *everyone*. See more info here.
We will keep members posted on their response as we continue working on this.
In the meantime, please talk to others in your area about joining the union. It’s quick and easy to join online at https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin
