We didn’t think so. That’s why we’re asking everyone at Banyule Council to Vote NO to the current EBA offer.
This “offer” slashes wages in leisure and school crossings, some of the lowest-paid roles within the Council, by removing a 25% allowance they have received for over a decade and offering next to nothing in return.
If it was you who was losing 25% of your wage and the value of your accrued leave, you would rely on your fellow workers would support you and vote against it. They are relying on you.
Vote NO, and send the bargaining representatives back to the table with a mandate to do better.
Management is relying on staff to sell out these workers and support the offer, or to vote yes without knowing the awful impact this will have on lower-paid Banyule workers.
You can support those staff by talking to a colleague who is not an ASU member today about why they should also Vote NO.
While you’re talking about why it’s so important to Vote NO, ask them to join the ASU and stay informed on the things management won’t tell you. Join today at www.asu.asn.au/ASUJoin
