Members may have seen a ‘Notice of Representational Rights’ being distributed by Council, this means Council and employees are formally entering the negotiation period.

The ASU protects, promotes and improves the working conditions and entitlements of our members.

Members don’t need to take any action, you are automatically represented by the ASU and your bargaining team for the negotiations is made up of all your elected union delegates and your ASU organisers.

As your union reps work on finalising the log of claims, there is a final opportunity to welcome any member submissions on the changes you would like to your terms and conditions of employment.

To provide any submissions or if you would like a meeting to be held at your workplace, you can do this through your local union delegate or contact ASU organiser Will Wyatt directly via the details below.

Now is the ideal time to invite your colleagues to learn about the benefits of joining the ASU, there is a direct relationship between union membership and negotiation outcomes. The higher the membership density a union has, the better the results are for employees through bargaining.

Delegates; please post on notice boards.
