Management has informed the ASU that they will be putting their proposed agreement to the vote shortly, starting with a 7 day access period. We anticipate this will occur after the Fair Work Commission meeting.

The ASU has not achieved the bargaining objectives members sought, and we have not been able to reach an agreement with the employer on the proposed agreement.

There have been some improvements, but there are several clauses that are not in the agreement or require changes to get this agreement to an acceptable standard.

The outstanding matters relate to:

  • Classification review/training and development
  • Pay increases – quantum and timing
  • Thermal comfort/adverse weather conditions
  • Top of band recognition
  • Additional Annual leave
  • Disputes resolution
  • Discipline and underperformance
  • Waste collection
  • Leisure
  • Early Childhood unit
  • Assets infrastructure unit

At this time the ASU does not support the employers’ proposed agreement.

All ASU members and those eligible to be members of our union are encouraged to attend a meeting.

The ASU protects, promotes and improves the working conditions and entitlements of our members.

If you know someone who is not yet a member of the ASU it is easy for them to join online at
