All female identifying ASU members are invited to attend the first Women’s Network meeting of the year.
The main purpose of this meeting is to discuss Vic Gender Equality Bill (2019). Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with each other, discuss current campaigns and to share information about their workplaces.
The ASU has always fought hard for the rights of working women. Some of the mighty wins we have achieved include Equal Pay for the community sector, the world’s first paid family violence leave and progressive parental leave provisions.
We now celebrate the impending introduction of Australia’s first Gender Equality Bill in the Victorian parliament, brought about in part by our union’s continued advocacy for equity.
