Every couple of years the ASU holds our Delegate Conference in Melbourne, and dozens of delegates from regional Victoria attend each time.

But travelling to Melbourne for a two-day conference can be difficult for delegates who live and work hundreds of kilometres away.

So this year the ASU organised regional conferences in Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Wodonga, Morwell, Shepparton, Warrnambool and Horsham.

And the conferences were a real success.

Delegates and activists from each of our industries came along – they shared their workplace successes and learnt from the experience of other workplace leaders.

In addition to workplace delegates, ASU officials and representatives from  Maurice Blackburn Lawyer and Vision Super spoke at the conferences.

We were fortunate to have a number of Members of Parliament come along o the conferences including Lisa Chesters the Federal Member for Bendigo, Harriet Shing State Member for Eastern Victoria, Juliana Addison the State Member for Wendouree and State Minister for Higher Education Gayle Tierney. Each of these political leaders has our thanks.
