Thank you to those that attended the ASU meeting held on 7th October 2020 and for all your feedback at the meeting and via email, text and calls over the past few days.

Members attending the meeting supported the ASU pursuing a fair and equitable process for all affected members and equal opportunity for all to be redeployed.

This includes that all redeployment opportunities should be made available for anyone who is proposed to be made redundant and should have an opportunity to put in an expression of interest for any redeployment roles available. Not Council handpicking who retains a job and what that job is.

We requested members email your Organiser with any concerns you would like us to raise as part of the feedback process by 8th October 2020. However, members can still provide this to us by close of business 13th October 2020.

Council provided the ASU with information as requested. It was not clear or easy to understand the proposed changes, but what we saw was concerning. As a result, we have asked Council to provide the information in a different format, they have agreed and will provide this to us on 12th October 2020.

We will then aim to pull all the information together so we can provide feedback on behalf of members to Council by close of business 14th October 2020.
