As you may be aware, due to the large number of meetings that will take place around EBA negotiations at CoGG this year the ASU has been working with CoGG to finalise a schedule of ASU member meetings to take place each month.

This will assist you with knowing when and where your Organiser will be throughout the period so you can have your say and keep up to date on how negotiations are proceeding.

The schedule has now been finalised and is locked in as follows for March 2020 and ongoing during negotiations:

DATE: Wednesday 4 March (first Wednesday of each month)
TIME: 3pm – 4pm
VENUE: Geelong Trades Hall Council

DATE: Tuesday 10 March (second Tuesday of each month)
TIME: 7am – 8am
VENUE: Belmont Depot

DATE: Wednesday 11 March (second Wednesday of each month)
TIME: 7am – 8am
VENUE: Botanics Depot

DATE: Wednesday 11 March (second Wednesday of each month)
TIME: 6pm – 7pm (Child Care Members)
VENUE: Geelong Trades Hall Council

DATE: Tuesday 17 March (third Tuesday of each month)
TIME: 7am – 8am
VENUE: Anakie Road Depot

DATE: Wednesday 18 March (third Wednesday of each month)
TIME: 12.30pm – 1.30pm
VENUE: Brougham Street (Meeting Room 1)

DATE: Wednesday 25 March (fourth Wednesday of each month)
TIME: 7am – 8am
VENUE: Drysdale Depot (followed by a visit to the Drysdale Tip)

All of these meetings will take place on an ongoing monthly basis (i.e. if the meeting in your area is the second Tuesday in March, it will be the second Tuesday of each month thereafter) for the duration of the EBA negotiations, so lock them in!

There will also be a number of ad-hoc visits to smaller sites where groups of members can’t attend these meetings, which are supported by CoGG management and will take place as needed.

While these meetings have been made at specific times and locations to try and cover all ASU members at CoGG, we understand that there are a lot of sites and areas at CoGG to cover and if you’re not included in this list you’re welcome to come along to one of the meetings that best suits you. For staff who attend meetings outside their normal paid hours, CoGG have committed that attendees will be paid for half the time of the meeting.

If you are unable to attend any of these meetings please let ASU Organiser Luke Cherry know at lcherry@asuvictas.com.au or 0417 472 497 and we can arrange a visit to your workplace or a method for you to have your say and keep in touch throughout the negotiations.
