ASU members want:

  • Their conditions at work protected;
  • Job security, fair pay and conditions;
  • Genuine consultation on changes;
  • Support in the workplace with access to learning and development and opportunities for promotion;
  • Access to flexibility improved leave conditions and better superannuation; and
  • Safe workplaces.

Local Government union members all around the country advocate for, win and protect conditions like this every day. But they can’t do it alone. Encourage your colleagues to join online today: https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin

VOTE YES FOR THE PROTECTED ACTION BALLOT (PAB)

ASU members should now have received a ballot from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) to reserve their right to take industrial action if required as a last resort. By voting “yes” in a Protected Action Ballot, you are not committing to taking industrial action. Rather, you are agreeing that employees should have the right to do so.

View the ASU How to Vote Card here.

YOU MUST RETURN YOUR VOTE BY MAIL. THERE ARE SIGNIFICANT DELAYS IN POSTAGE TO THE AEC. DON’T HESITATE, DO IT TODAY!

Haven’t received a ballot? Call the AEC urgently on 03 92857171.
