Members across local government in Tasmania are currently in very uncertain times given the government’s ongoing Future of Local Government Review.
You may also be aware that for several months, the ASU and workplace delegates across Tasmania have been lodging submissions, lobbying and meeting with Ministers to highlight the obvious disadvantages that would accompany any drastic decisions such as amalgamations in rural and regional Tasmania, especially.
The next report is due to be released on Wednesday 19 April, and we would like to meet with you to discuss your thoughts or concerns and how any proposed changes could potentially affect you.
Please make an effort to make it to one of the following meetings, because your voice is important and needs to be heard.
