Congratulations, we are working towards the collective strength we need to protect and improve your conditions at work. Please take the time to read the following important updates.

Enterprise Bargaining Survey
Thank you to all who have completed and shared the survey on Enterprise Bargaining for pay and conditions. The Survey will remain open for another week so please keep sharing and encouraging others to complete it and join us. Here’s the poster with details for those that missed it.

ASU Delegate Nominations
ASU Delegate nominations closed on 30 April. ASU Delegates will work to represent members covered by the Metro Tasmania Administrative Employees Enterprise Agreement. Delegates provide the communication link which is essential for the union to be effective.

It is with great pleasure that we share with you the three nominations from your colleagues listed below. Given three Delegates is an adequate number for the size and composition of the workforce, we don’t believe it is necessary to hold a formal ballot. We, therefore, seek your endorsement to elect the Delegates. If you have any opposition to their endorsement, please contact ASU Organiser Samantha Batchelor via the details below by no later than Thursday 13 May. If no concerns are raised, these Delegates will be elected.

Stephen Halls              Greg Watson               Sally Walters

Endorsing a Log of Claims
We will soon write to Metro formally requesting the commencement of Enterprise Bargaining. In the coming weeks, we will be in touch with you further to invite you to a workplace meeting to formulate and endorse a log of claims.

Once again, congratulations on getting organised for fair pay and conditions!
