Following our visits, the ASU called for nominations of ASU Delegates.

Our delegates are supported by our union and fellow union members. By standing together, we can achieve better pay, conditions and workplaces for everyone.

An ASU delegate is one of the most important positions in our union, keeping our members informed and united around common goals.

We encourage all Delegates to undergo ASU Delegate training, but that happens after they are elected, and is flexible in its timing.

Works Depot Crews
The ASU is pleased to have received two nominations from Clint McIntosh and Matthew Mitchell.

Please respond to this email or text 0459 228 612 stating ‘Delegates Endorsed’ if you support the election of these Delegates. Please reply by Monday 17 July 2023.

Council Chambers
Delegate nominations have not yet been received. If you are interested in taking on this important role, get in touch.

This is an important first step both for Enterprise Bargaining for pay and conditions and during the Future of Local Government Review.

Once we have Delegates in place, we will be keen to finalise a Log of Claims and seek the commencement of bargaining. We have had lots of constructive discussion about potential claims. And now is a good time to give some more thought to what you would like to see in your Enterprise Agreement. You can read the current EA here.
