As a community sector worker, you have been through a lot over the past year.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted just how essential your services are to the thousands of Victorians you work with every day.  It has also highlighted just how deficient some of the employment practices are within the sector.

Essential NOT Expendable Campaign
You are invited to attend a meeting of community sector workers to discuss and endorse the strategy for a new campaign, Essential NOT Expendable, aimed at making your work more secure.

Fixed-term employment, the inability to take disputes for arbitration to Fair Work Australia and the lack of proper consultation are just a few of the issues that make your working life in the community sector less secure than it needs to be.

Your work is essential not expendable and your employment conditions should reflect that.
