ASU have been notified by Council regarding a proposed restructure in the Community Life Directorate.
This proposed restructure is having a very negative impact on several positions resulting in 19 terminations across the Department.
ASU will be having further meetings with Council and members to discuss measures to avert or mitigate any adverse effects on these proposed changes.
These positions presently provide important services to community and are part of the strategic plan adopted by Council.
ASU will also be asking for an extension to the present consultation period as a lot of members are off for Easter and School Holidays.
