Thanks for attending our preliminary meeting of delegates to kick off EA negotiations for the Community Health Services MECA 2021!

It is important that we involve you in building union structure in your workplaces, organising members and engaging and recruiting non-members. We hope delegates will come together after bargaining to take report backs back to members. Please complete the survey for delegates here so we can understand your priorities. You can complete the survey here.

We hope you can support our first meeting of employees covered by the Multi-employer Agreement as we can reach so that we can really begin developing our own Log of Claims. Please invite all staff to this initial meeting at which we will discuss the CHC Log of Claims Survey.

This meeting will be at 12.30 pm on 1 July. Please register in advance for this meeting here:  https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAlcO6rpjsjGdRpgtJmMs8l17z6MdND27dM

We have outlined some of the more significant items on the log as well as described in broad terms why these might be of interest to ASU members.  Please see our summary of issues we see in the employer Log of Claims. We have kept this broad, as some views are better kept to meetings with our delegates rather than in the public arena. The employer’s Log of claims is a confidential document which we will need to discuss with VHIA the employer’s association before sharing.

Delegates have an important role in getting members to attend, making sure your organisation is represented and the Claims we develop adequately capture issues at your workplaces.

For further information about negotiations and member engagement please join us on Friday 25 June at 10.00am Click here to join the meeting
