All ASU members employed in Building Services are invited to an online catchup:

DATE: Wednesday 6 April
TIME: 4pm – 6pm

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

ASU Campaign Organiser, Clay O’Brien, will be providing members with a briefing on our local government campaign: Uncap our Councils and talking about the impact of the Victorian Government’s rate capping policy.

The ASU commissioned research from The Australia Institute’s Centre for Future Work that shows the Rate Cap is starving councils of funding. It hasn’t stopped wasteful spending – it only hurts workers and the community.

This meeting will be an opportunity for members in Building Services to discuss workplace issues and how we can work together to solve our common problems.

We will also be hearing from the Victorian Municipal Building Surveyors Group, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and Vision Super.

We know and appreciate that everyone is suffering from Zoom fatigue, but gatherings such as this are important to ensure the needs and interests of members in building services are well represented.
