Last Saturday 7 August was Aged Care Employee Day. The ASU made this video to thank all our aged care members for the critical work you do for the community. Local government aged care is especially unique, and the ASU will continue to campaign beside you to protect these important services for the community and staff alike.
Care is really the backbone of our society. Care for our planet, care in the form of strong welfare support, and a culture of care in terms of looking out for each other, particularly during these trying lockdowns. In this regard, you are all leaders, and as your union we understand the value of your work.
To celebrate local government aged care workers and the important work you do, spread the word! Please share this video through all your networks either by email or social media. For Facebook tag us in your post at @ASUVictas (or for Twitter @ASU_VicTas) and use the hashtags #LocalGovCares , #ThanksforCaring and #ACED2021 .
To keep your important work in council sign the pledge here and pass it on!
Unionism is your strength. Encourage your colleagues to join (https://www.asu.asn.au/asujoin).
