Women’s Property Initiative is a not-for-profit housing organisation, which aims at delivering affordable housing solutions for women in need.
Tenants in Women’s Property Initiatives homes pay rent, but this rent is limited to no more than 30% of tenants’ household income. This gives the women and children in their properties the financial freedom to do more than just survive
They own and manage 82 homes in suburbs right across Melbourne
The Women’s Property Initiative currently has vacancies at three of their properties in Ivanhoe, Moonee Ponds and Docklands.
To be eligible women need to be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia and earn $40,000 to $51,000 gross per annum. Couples can earn up to $71,000.
