The Victorian Government is proposing to establish a new waste authority. DEWLP has released an option paper which states that:

“It is proposed that the waste authority is established as a new entity that will take on some of the existing functions of state government entities, including all of the functions of the seven Waste and Resource Recovery Groups (WRRGs), and the infrastructure planning function currently being performed by Sustainability Victoria.”

The ASU will be making a submission and we want to hear your views. You are invited to attend a meeting to provide us with your feedback.

DEWLP are also holding stakeholder’s consultation sessions on 23 and 28 September which are now all full. They may be scheduling further sessions and you can access information on the sessions here.
