Delegates negotiate enterprise agreements, represent ASU members at their workplace and set and develop campaign priorities for how we win for workers in all of our industries.
At our annual Delegates Conference, delegates help set the industrial direction of our union and are part of deciding the union’s priorities. This year the Delegates Conferences will be held on 22 and 23 November at Victorian Trades Hall.
At our conference we will again recognise outstanding delegates with the presentation of Awards for our union’s best delegates: the Darrell Cochrane Delegate of the Year, Johanna Lytton Young Delegate Of The Year, and the Occupational Health & Safety Representative Of The Year awards.
We will also present the TILE Award to an ASU woman or women who have made outstanding efforts to promote women’s participation in the ASU.
Nominations for these prestigious awards close on 13 October, 2023.
The work of ASU delegates, HSRs and those who promote participation in the union is essential and we want to make sure those who go above and beyond are recognised.
