Our union is made up of workers dedicated to each other and to safer workplaces where everyone gets a fair wage and is respected at work.

Without the workplace delegates in every industry where ASU members work, we would not achieve anywhere near as much as we do for members.

At our recent Delegates Conference, we recognised some of our union’s most outstanding delegates with the 2021 Delegate of the Year Awards.

These outstanding award winners are

Darrell Cochrane Delegate of the Year Award
Joint winners: Neville Braybrook, cohealth & Brad Speechley, City of Yarra

Johanna Lytton Young Delegate of the Year
Joint winners: Dylan Goldsworthy, Northern Community Legal Centre & Georgia Cromarty, First
People’s Assembly of Victoria

OH&S Representative of the Year
Janine Webb, City of Whittlesea

Women’s TILE Award
Deborah Blake, City of Greater Bendigo

We congratulate and thank these delegates for the outstanding contribution they make representing members of our union.

And we also thank each and every workplace delegate – they are the backbone of our union.
