Bargaining update – enterprise agreement bargaining kicks off at Northern Grampians

20 March 2024

The ASU Bargaining team met with management today for the first meeting to re-negotiate your enterprise agreement. As you may be aware, the enterprise agreement expires in June this year. The ASU Bargaining team consists of your ASU delegates; Kym Ryan, Tracey Gavagan, Sharon Shepard, Mitch Tyler and Benjamin Medlyn supported by organisers Zoe Edwards and Georgia Birch.

Today’s meeting was administrative in nature – setting the ground rules for how negotiations will be conducted and scheduling meetings. The next meeting will be on 17 April and will then occur fortnightly from then. We also discussed on a without prejudice basis the log of claims. The Log of Claims is the ASU’s list of priority issues that we want to addressed in this enterprise agreement. Your delegates and the ASU have identified a preliminary list of issues that we want addressed but these need to be discussed and endorsed by ASU members. We will be scheduling ASU Member meetings in the coming weeks to discuss the Log of Claims and endorse our priorities for this enterprise agreement bargaining round. Watch this space for meeting notice after the Easter school holidays!

Management have also raised the list of items they want addressed in the enterprise agreement. This list has not been endorsed by the Executive yet and we will provide further detail on this list when it has been endorsed and submitted to us.

If you would like further information or to discuss, you can contact ASU Lead Organiser Zoe Edwards at [email protected] or 0474 333 463.

We’re stronger together. Ask a co-worker to join the ASU to get a better deal on your enterprise agreement. It’s easy to join at https://www.asuvictas.com.au/VICTAS/Join
