Melton CC members: your annual leave and consultative committee

After many months of hard work from your delegates, it looks like your annual leave issue is finally resolved. Members have been informed that their leave balances now include their extra days of accrued Annual Leave. Congratulations to your hard-working delegates, and to all of you, for protecting this hard-earned extra leave.

But is there STILL something wrong with your leave balance?

We’ve been hearing rumours that individual staff have had hundreds of hours of annual leave go missing! Has anything like this happened to you? If so, please contact a delegate or your organiser ASAP.

And what about your consultative committee?

As part of the last EA, your delegates fought to reestablish the Employee Consultative Committee. This is supposed to be a forum for YOUR voices to be heard. Your delegates are continuing their tireless work to improve this committee and ensure it represents YOU. Stay tuned for opportunities to contribute to this important staff forum.

Finally, we need YOU! (Yes, YOU!)

Melton has eight union delegates, but close to 1000 staff. We need dedicated people like YOU to step up and work with the wonderful delegate team at Melton.

Every union delegate is different. The main thing that delegates do is keep an ear to the ground and ensure they’re tuned in to what union members want. Delegates can also support individual members, work areas, or the whole staff union, to make sure their rights are protected at work.
