ASU Citywide Members Asbestos Alert April 2024

ASU have written to the CEO of Citywide regarding the recent discovery of Asbestos found in mulching around several playgrounds at HBCC where Citywide have provided these services.

“ASU requests all information regarding this matter including:

1.    a written explanation of all actions Citywide has taken and will take to protect its employees from exposure to asbestos and to mitigate the harm caused by any exposure to the asbestos;
2.    a full explanation of the training that employees have received in relation to dealing with suspected asbestos;
3.    a clear outline of the precautions has Citywide implemented since this exposure became apparent at HBCC."

Citywide has now requested to meet with the ASU to discuss the issues we have raised.
