Regional Water MEA moves one step closer

ASU representatives have finalised the wording for the first ever Multi Employer Agreement in Water. Members at South Gippsland Water and Central Highlands Water will soon vote on this historic Agreement, and assuming the vote is successful, it will go to the Fair Work Commission for endorsement.

Once the Agreement is in place, we will begin the process of roping in other Regional Water employers.

And planning is underway for a Multi Employer Agreement for Metro Water Employers. Most of those Agreements are set to expire starting mid 2027, and we have held positive discussions with Government about progressing this.

We will be visiting worksites in the coming weeks to talk to members about the benefits of Multi Employer Bargaining, so stay tuned for further information.
