Do you work at Incinerator, Djerring or Crown Street?

If you do, read on. And either way, please circulate this to ALL of your colleagues (union & non-union) in those work areas.

As part of the current EA negotiations, MVCC have proposed to include Incinerator, Djerring & Crown Street staff in a section of the agreement that currently only covers Clocktower Centre staff.

This would have a meaningful impact on you:

  • If you work at any time from 7am-12am, Monday-Sunday, you will get NO penalty rates.

  • Your roster can be changed with as little as 24 hours’ notice

  • On a positive, your minimum casual shift will go up from two hours to four hours.

    Union or non-union, we want to be able to give management a clear picture of how staff feel about this change. And remember to share this survey as widely as you can in these work areas – the more responses we get, the stronger our position will be.
