Do you work in Regional Assessment Services? We need to hear from you

28 February 2024

Regional Assessment Services (RAS) is undergoing significant reforms with the new Single Assessment model due to roll out this year.

These reforms signify a significant shift in our sector and have implications for your work in RAS.

While these reforms are being implemented, both state and federal governments are engaged in discussions regarding bridging arrangements and tendering processes. Your input and feedback are crucial in ensuring that the interests of our members are adequately represented.

Your ASU aged care Organiser, Joanne McEvoy, is advocating for your concerns. She is scheduled to meet with advisors from both federal and state governments to address the issues at hand. Joanne is eager to gather insights and feedback directly from you, the frontline workers, to present a comprehensive picture to the ministers.

We encourage you to share your experiences, challenges, and suggestions regarding the reforms and any related issues with Joanne. Your input will directly contribute to our advocacy efforts and help us in campaigning for fair and effective policies moving forward.

Please reach out to Joanne at [email protected] with any feedback or suggestions on the process so far. We are also keen to hear how your council is keeping you up to date on the reforms.

Together we can ensure that your voices are heard and interests protected.
