Delegates and members at Switchboard Victoria gain commitment to OHS compliance

The lack of an adequate workplace safety framework at Switchboard Victoria was highlighted by an unresolved workplace issue that resulted in two investigations and at least one injury to an employee and a Workcover claim. Additionally, we were aware of a high volume of reports from our members that psychosocial hazards were not being reported and managed appropriately.

Following a formal request from delegates, Switchboard Victoria has now agreed to implement designated work groups, elect health and safety representatives and form a health and safety committee that is compliant with legislation.
