Connected Libraries EBA - the vote is on

The Connected Libraries access period is currently open and voting will commence shortly on your enterprise agreement.

The voting period will start Thursday March 14 and run until Wednesday March 20.

Improvements include:

  • $1,000 one off cost of living bonus.
  • 2.1% per annum pay rise year one November 25, 2023 – July 6, 2024
  • 1.65% per annum pay rise July 6, 2024 - July 6, 2025 60% of the rate cap or 1.5% whichever is greater - July 7, 2025 – July 7, 2026
  • 80% of the rate cap or 1.5% whichever is greater - July 7, 2026.
  • Improvements to rates for backfilling SOD shifts.
  • Commitment to strengthen WFH arrangements. Increase in secondary career leave from two weeks – four weeks.
  • Six-weeks paid leave for loss of unborn child over 20 weeks gestation.
  • Improvements to leave associated with adoption.
  • Improvements to pandemic provisions.
  • Statutory Declaration accepted in lieu of DR certificate for personal leave if unable to obtain appointment.
  • Strengthening the eligibility of carers leave.
  • A commitment from management to review the notification requirements for sick leave.
  • Increases to amount of work time accrued and expand uses.

As discussed with delegates at recent meetings, there have been minor improvements to conditions, and we acknowledge some of the challenges being governed by a low rate cap. This offer falls short of expectations; however this agreement is proposed to run for three years with four enshrined pay rises and a cost-of-living bonus.

This offer is dependent on rate cap with the commitment from management that staff will get no less than 6.75% over three years. With the cost-of-living bonus included, this offer is well more than 2% per year.
