City of Port Phillip councillors to vote on future of Aged Care this week

19 February 2024

City of Port Phillip councillors will meet on Wednesday night at a council meeting to vote on the council's future in the delivery of its one of its most valued and longstanding service provision to its community: aged care.

The ASU has been contacted by clients who have expressed their sadness and concerns with the council reviewing its delivery of aged care, many who have had the same carer for decades. The ASU met with a few councillors last week and were able to share the views of these clients, the carers and the union.

Organisers from the ASU will attend the council meeting on Wednesday night at Council Chambers 6:30pm for any members who wish to attend in person with us.

The ASU is by your side. Bring along a co-worker and ask them to join the ASU at https://www.asuvictas.com.au/VICTAS/Join
