CNV Agreement Goes Live Next Week

After months of waiting for Fair Work approval, we’ve finally had confirmation that
the new Centre for Non-Violence enterprise agreement will go live on April 10, 2-2024.
This means that from that date onwards, the new conditions and entitlements apply, including:
- Pay rates - 2.5% above SCHADS rates until agreement replaced
- Senior IPWs – additional 2% above the rate for their classification (sitting between IPW and TL pay)
- 3 external clinical supervisions per year
- Workload review process
- 2 paid wellbeing days per year
- Access to the Fair Work Commission for disputes, without employer consent
- Fairness and natural justice principles for disciplinary processes
- Expanded access to sick and carer’s leave, providing up to 26 days
- Bonus leave becomes annual leave – attracting leave loading, and paid out on termination
- Purchased leave increased to 4 weeks
- Parental leave - 13 weeks, up from 12 weeks; plus Superannuation on CNV and government paid leave
- Improvements to use of family violence leave – 20 days paid leave, and option to cash out 5 days
- 20 days paid gender affirmation leave
- Fossil-free Superannuation
- Compassionate leave increased to 5 days
- 3 days paid Ceremonial leave for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, which can be combined with Cultural leave
- Paid Cultural leave increased to 2 days
- Public holiday substitution (including Invasion Day)
