Boroondara City Council ASU Enterprise Bargaining is commencing

08 February 2024

What is Enterprise Bargaining?
Enterprise Bargaining is about reviewing and improving workplace entitlements and conditions.

When we meet with Boroondara City Council management, we aim to negotiate improvements to existing conditions, introduce new entitlements, and when possible, lift industry standards.

It is also to ensure members' needs and concerns are brought to management’s attention to be addressed.

Why have an Enterprise Agreement?
Your award sets out a broad industry minimum of conditions to cover you in your workplace. Your enterprise agreement allows us to set out specific conditions and tailor clauses to suit your workplace. An enterprise agreement has the same legal enforcement as an award.

How can you get involved?
The ASU officials and delegates are committed to bargaining for better conditions for your workplace. The ASU bargains across your industry. We want your voice to be strong during negotiations.

We’re stronger together. Ask a co-worker to join the ASU to get a better deal on your Enterprise Agreement. It’s easy to join at https://www.asuvictas.com.au/VICTAS/Join

The first meet and greet enterprise bargaining meeting is scheduled on Thursday 8 February, in which we go through the principles of bargaining and commence the official negotiations.

We will be preparing a site visit schedule so we can seek your input on the log of claims. We will also request paid approved meetings across your council so please keep a lookout for the next update.
