Bargaining on Wednesday: Devonport have an opportunity to unite the workforce

22 April 2024

The ASU sought an additional meeting with management for Wednesday 24 April in the aim of reaching an offer that will gain wide support of the workforce. Management has agreed to that meeting.

An offer that results in high endorsement from across workforce should be the goal at Devonport City Council.

Unified support will undoubtedly have a positive impact on morale and culture at Council and be a constructive path forward.

Your ASU bargaining team will provide an update after the meeting on Wednesday. We genuinely hope it is good news and we are in a position to endorse and proceed to a vote.

Either way, stay tuned as it appears Council are determined to push to a vote. And it is YOU who will have the final say.

The ASU is by your side. Talk to a co-worker about the importance of union membership and ask them to join the ASU at https://www.asuvictas.com.au/VICTAS/Join
