Council has walked away from the bargaining table is now putting a not-agreed and insulting proposed Enterprise Agreement out to a vote.

Workers at Warrnambool City Council are already among the lowest paid councils employees in the state. This will be entrenched by the measly offer in the latest proposed agreement.

The offer of 1.5%, in 2019, 2.0% in 2020 and 2.5% in 2021, with no dollar figure, means WCC’s lowest paid workers be the victims, with increases of as little as $14.80 per week in the 1st year.

Council is raising your rates by 9.0% over the next 2 years, but they have only offered a 6% increase in your wages over the next 3 years.

Traditionally, there has been a dollar figure attached to ALL pay increases at WCC to address the inequities of a flat percentage increase. In short, if you are below a Band 6, Council Management just doesn’t think you are worth a liveable wage.

VOTE NO to demand management get back to the Negotiating table with your representatives

VOTE NO untill management puts a dollar figure on the table to help end wage inequality

VOTE NO to being the working poor
