ASU representatives have been bargaining for a new Enterprise Agreement with BoQ management on members’ behalf
Following a recent resounding NO Vote by staff, management held feedback sessions to find out what staff wanted to help progress the EA.
These feedback sessions led to some 7 pages of requests from BoQ staff. But clearly, management did not listen.
Late last week, management provided the ASU with a pathetic attempt to address the ideas of staff.
Their new offer is a sign on bonus of $200.00 to staff who work less than 50% of full-time hours and $400.00 to those who work more than 50% of full-time hours
- There was no attempt to address the discrimination of Community Services Staff being unable to progress through the Bands
- There was no attempt to offer extra hours to permanent staff before offering them to contractors
- There was no attempt to address the below average pay offer
We are urging our members to send a message to management that this latest offer is unacceptable.
