At the recent EA meeting Kingborough Council provided their wage offer for your consideration. Council has put forward the following wage increase offer:
Year 1 – 5.5%
Year 2 – 4.0%
Year 3 – 3.5%
Council has not offered an increase to the Superannuation Contribution Council. They advise that instead they have included that in the wage increase offer.
Further discussion was also held in relation to other claims we have on the table, with most other claims being rejected. However, council has agreed to providing access to pro-rata long service leave at seven years and agreed to reimburse your RDO if you are sick on your RDO. There has also been agreement to allow statutory declarations to be provided up to three times per year in lieu of a medical certificate.
ASU organiser Karen Tantari will be holding ASU member only meetings to seek your feedback on the wage offer and to discuss council’s position on the other claims raised.
