Since the last update to members, which included figures provided by Council showing that 348 staff are engaged as casuals, the ASU requested a report on the number of hours and length of time each employee has been employed to determine eligibility for conversion.
This report has been provided and showed out of the 348 casuals recorded, that 149 are eligible for conversion.
We are calling on Greater Shepparton City Council to offer conversion to all the 149 eligible casuals. Council agree they will be going through this list and reviewing all 149 that they agree are eligible.
This is great news!
The ASU has requested a timeline for when eligible staff should be contacted, and once further information becomes available, we will inform members.
