Maroondah council will be negotiating a new Enterprise Agreement this year and we will be reaching out to members shortly for the first stages of the process.
The ASU is committed to protecting, promoting and improving the working conditions and entitlements for members. The best way to do this is with good representation with a number of delegates, from different areas in Council.
What is a delegate?
ASU delegates are the essential link between the ASU and the membership within each workplace. Effective delegates can identify issues and provide information to the ASU to ensure that members’ rights and conditions are protected.
Delegates can provide representation, support and advice to members as well as building the union through providing information and raising the awareness of union issues with staff. An ASU delegate is someone who is your representative and is nominated and elected by you.
ASU provides full training for elected delegates, and you will be strongly supported by the union in this important role.
If you are interested in the role or would just like more information, please contact:
