Gender Equity in your workplace

Workplaces are striving to increase gender equity outcomes as they know that improving diversity and equity in the workplace leads to better outcomes all round.
However all too often efforts to deliver gender equity are occurring at the top of the organisational hierarchy. We know that a large percentage of women working in our industries work in traditional female roles that are frequently under valued, have higher levels of job insecurity and limited career pathways. We also know that carers and parents are still facing real difficulties in accessing flexible arrangements.
If you are interested in advocating for improved Gender Equity in your workplace we are interested in hearing from you. We will be running a pilot project to establish and resource Gender Equity Advocates in workplaces in the Local Government and Water industries.
